Edelmiro Cortez didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Cercado's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Henry came free, but Manuel Lobo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match Ranquilón got a corner. Cercado's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Severino Rencio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aristides Clemencin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Maximo Selmo made a huge save. Edelmiro Cortez kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match Cercado got a corner. Ranquilón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adriana Gaspard ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aristides Clemencin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Maximo Selmo made a huge save. Maximo Selmo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Ourente in the 36th minute of the match. Ranquilón's Maximo Selmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Ranquilón from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Cercado's Benigno Ourente fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After having played for 44 minutes, Benigno Ourente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cercado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Ourente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Benigno Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Maximo Selmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eriberto Urtzi's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Aristides Clemencin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Maximo Selmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Benigno Ourente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximo Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Aristides Clemencin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melchor Perez hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benigno Ourente in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximo Selmo saved Ranquilón from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Benigno Ourente managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cercado's supporters rose to their feet, but Benigno Ourente was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximo Selmo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute, Israel Lartaun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute Cercado were awarded a corner. Adriana Gaspard went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Adriana Gaspard got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maximo Selmo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dalmacio Cayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lobo having to interfere. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Dalmacio Cayo sped through Cercado's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Lobo. Manuel Lobo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalmacio Cayo in the 80th minute. Honorato Henry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeronimo Paublo hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Honorato Henry's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Lobo was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Melchor Tadzio hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ranquilón eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
