Silvio Dantel was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Federico Marin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Federico Marin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Pinas's Felix Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Umbruso in the 10th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Reyes's Celso Urki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Machado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Reyes's Silvio Dantel got control of the ball when Ivan Matthew tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 16th minute Federico Marin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Dantel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lázaro Umbruso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Reyes booed when Pinas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Edur didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Reyes defense, Ivan Matthew kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvio Dantel. The Reyes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Dantel should have stopped the shot. Ivan Matthews short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Silvio Dantel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Federico Marin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pinas's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Marin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Dantel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Reyes's Silvio Dantel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Reyes from getting a goal against them. Aquiles Muno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Reyes's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Marin came free, but Silvio Dantel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 played minutes Reyes got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Lia. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damaso Federigo was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Reyes's Damaso Federigo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Felix Machado. Felix Machado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Felix Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Federigo in the 56th minute of play. Aquiles Muno kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Felix Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damaso Federigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Solustiano's late challenge caught a Reyes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guaberto Solustiano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, Pinas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Solustiano to maneuver through the defense. Damaso Federigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lázaro Umbruso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Lázaro Umbruso could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Felix Machado however easily saved by the left post. 79 minutes into the match, Reyes's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Matthew came free, but Silvio Dantel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Reyes's goalkeeper Silvio Dantel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Ivan Matthew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th match minute, Reyes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualterio Ruisko to maneuver through the defense. Ladislao Cordarrell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Silvio Dantel. Reyes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 86 minutes, Celso Urki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reyes and the Pinas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Reyes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celso Urki to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Pinas's Rodrigo Llanos got a free kick in the 89th minute. Lázaro Umbruso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Felix Machado made a huge save. After 95 minutes, Aquiles Muno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pinas and the Reyes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, Reyes's Vinicio Hunfredo tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar.
