Genaro Viator took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Itzaina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Argentinos de Quilmes's goalkeeper Zacarias Gonchan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anastasio Salamon. Alonzo Flores hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Gustavo Itzaina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genaro Viator having to make a save. Zacarias Gonchan came out of the goal and Wilfredo Kaiet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Viator showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Itzaina, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute of the match, Anastasio Salamon got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zacarias Gonchan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Portezuelo AFC's Genaro Viator played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Muc in the 68th minute of play. Gustavo Itzaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Genaro Viator tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Argentinos de Quilmes's Edgard Muc dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 82 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Kaiet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zacarias Gonchan. Argentinos de Quilmes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilfredo Kaiet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Wilfredo Kaiet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wilfredo Kaiet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zacarias Gonchan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Salamon in the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Argentinos de Quilmes walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
