After a defensive mix-up in Lileo's zone, Teofilo Feo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Lidon came out of the goal and Teofilo Feo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Las Mandarinas FC's Alfonso Blanco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Las Mandarinas FC from getting a goal against them. Ariel Eyague sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfonso Blanco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ariel Eyague had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Celestino Calvet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Blanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Lileo's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Feo came free, but Amador Lidon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Amador Lidon made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Ariel Eyague sent off a good shot on target. Celestino Calvet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ariel Eyague fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amador Lidon having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
