Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Serafino Txerran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Mateo in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match Isidro Bermudo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serafino Txerran showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 10th minute Zacarias Mateo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafino Txerran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafino Txerran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Mateo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Epifanio Frederik kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Tancredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RIVER PLATE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alberdi the free kick. The corner ended in Florencio Gaztea almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but RIVER PLATE's Octavio Sustrai did a great save. After 33 played minutes RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Mano. After 35 minutes, Gaudencio Mano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RIVER PLATE and the Alberdi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes RIVER PLATE got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Mano. Octavio Sustrai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Ongile's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. RIVER PLATE's Isidro Bermudo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alberdi.

The wind increased when Tomas Ongile made the kick off in the second half. In the 65th minute Fabricio Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Sustrai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 66 minutes, Hilario Medardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RIVER PLATE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hilario Medardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in RIVER PLATE's zone, Constantino Bihar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Sustrai came out of the goal and Constantino Bihar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomas Ongile might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavio Sustrai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Ongile ran back to his position shaking his head. Octavio Sustrai came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Alberdi's Constantino Bihar. But to his dismay, Constantino Bihar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Octavio Sustrai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Alfonso in the 81st minute of the match. Serafino Txerran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zacarias Mateo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hilario Medardo came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the RIVER PLATE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilario Medardo couldn't finish the play. Constantino Bihar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavio Sustrai having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Tomas Ongile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Ongile might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavio Sustrai. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Ongile ran back to his position shaking his head.
