In the 5th minute of the match Amancio Abalos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Generoso Ieltxu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Telesforo in the 7th minute of play forced González AFC's goalkeeper Generoso Ieltxu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, González AFC's Generoso Ieltxu got control of the ball when Nicasio Dantae tried to sneak it across the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Faustino Telesforo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Generoso Ieltxu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lisandro Rios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nunez Semeno in the 14th minute of play. A collision led to González AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gilberto Raymond hit a great ball. Lisandro Rios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nunez Semeno, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Atheletic's Lisandro Rios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nunez Semeno in the 26th minute of play. Jorge Jerrold received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Lisandro Rios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Jerrold blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lisandro Rios having to make a save. After 41 played minutes González AFC got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Niva. With a little luck, González AFC's Generoso Ieltxu got control of the ball when Nicasio Dantae tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atheletic's zone, Jorge Jerrold stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lisandro Rios came out of the goal and Jorge Jerrold tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicasio Dantae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Ieltxu having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faustino Telesforo was the one to do the kick off. Jorge Jerrold sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lisandro Rios stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nunez Semeno's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Atheletic's Lisandro Rios proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Atheletic from getting a goal against them. Jorge Jerrold fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Rios having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nunez Semeno in the 65th minute of play forced Atheletic's goalkeeper Lisandro Rios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Atheletic's Lisandro Rios got control of the ball when Jorge Jerrold tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nunez Semeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rigoberto Manny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Ieltxu having to interfere.
