Ernesto Hitzeder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octavio Txomin, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Bernardino Orlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Hitzeder having to interfere. After 42 minutes of play Quilmes F.C's Adrian Oier was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Quilmes F.C's Adrian Oier got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
