After 15 minutes of play, Rosario AFC's Delmar Opilano made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisito Quilo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Ekhi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Luisito Quilo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 24 minutes, Godofredo Bernard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rosario AFC and the Cerrito FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rosario AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Hugo Maiorga made the kick off in the second half. Ciriaco Ekhi was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Santo Cordarrell might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonatan Astrada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santo Cordarrell ran back to his position shaking his head. If Hugo Maiorga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Hugo Maiorga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonatan Astrada. Rosario AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hugo Maiorga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Cerrito FC's Luisito Quilo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Cerrito FC from getting a goal against them. In the 70th match minute, Rosario AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Teofilio to maneuver through the defense. Ciriaco Ekhi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 80 minutes, Ciriaco Ekhi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosario AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciriaco Ekhi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
