After 18 played minutes Paraná AFC got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Iaki. After having played for 19 minutes, Camilo Oro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canaleja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Camilo Oro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Camilo Oro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimeno Ruys short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Celedonio Matthew to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Camilo Oro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Celedonio Matthew tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Oro in the 30th minute of play forced Paraná AFC's goalkeeper Celedonio Matthew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Oro in the 63rd minute of play forced Paraná AFC's goalkeeper Celedonio Matthew to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Canaleja's Urbano Theodore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celedonio Matthew made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Celedonio Matthew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Ruy in the 69th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Nicasio Romero sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Paraná AFC's Celedonio Matthew didn't even have to move. Celedonio Matthew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Oro, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 89th match minute, Canaleja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Paskal to maneuver through the defense. 91 minutes into the game, Conrado Lopez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraná AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canaleja the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Camilo Oro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canaleja's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Oro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celedonio Matthew breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jimeno Ruy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute.
