The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Talleres FC's Joel Gaitan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ezequiel Fernado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Atlético Colon's Ezequiel Fernado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Colon from getting a goal against them. Joel Gaitan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ezequiel Fernado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Joel Gaitan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezequiel Fernado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Bartuelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ruben Formerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Evaristo Nazario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético Colon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Nazario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Joel Gaitan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ezequiel Fernado. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Ruben Formerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Nazario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Nazario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ruben Formerio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Joel Gaitan made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Joel Gaitan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaitan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ezequiel Fernado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Alfredo Txomin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Colon's Valentin Abastas got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 67 minutes, Jonatan Koldo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Atlético Colon and the Talleres FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Jonatan Koldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th match minute, Club Atlético Colon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Abastas to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Alfredo Txomin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Talleres FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Evaristo Nazario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Ruben Formerio made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, Joel Gaitan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ezequiel Fernado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfredo Txomin went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Ruben Formerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Abastas in the 89th minute of the match. Arnaldo Bartuelo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruben Formerio having to interfere. Talleres FC's Ruben Formerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Bartuelo in the 92nd minute of play. Arnaldo Bartuelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Talleres FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Club Atlético Colon for a fine match.
