Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fulgencio Firmo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Lisandro Quico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tatengues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lisandro Quico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 6 minutes in the game, Fulgencio Firmo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Lisandro Quicos short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Jaime Domiku to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jaime Domiku stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermengildo Roano's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Hermengildo Roano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Domiku having to interfere. Leon Esiquio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fulgencio Firmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes in the game, Lisandro Quico fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jaime Domiku having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 52nd minute of the match Severiano Pelagius sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilberto Chepe skillfully saved the ball. Fulgencio Firmo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Gilberto Chepe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute of the match, Leon Esiquio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gilberto Chepe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Tatengues's Benedicto Ubelteso got a free kick in the 56th minute. Guayamba FC's Jaime Domiku played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Roano in the 61st minute of play. In the 61st minute Paulo Tercero collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. After 61 minutes, Geronimo Marcones mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guayamba FC and the Tatengues players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd match minute, Guayamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geronimo Marcones to maneuver through the defense. Fulgencio Firmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fulgencio Firmo might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilberto Chepe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fulgencio Firmo ran back to his position shaking his head. When Leon Esiquio came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Guayamba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Esiquio couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Tatengues's Gilberto Chepe got control of the ball when Leon Esiquio tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Fulgencio Firmo came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Guayamba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fulgencio Firmo couldn't finish the play. After 96 minutes of play, Tatengues's Lisandro Quico made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Domiku was left in no man's land by his defense there!
