With his leg Leonides Enetz managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Guayamba's Carmelo Tabor fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jonas Merexildo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnaldo Atarrabi having to make a save. With his leg Leonides Enetz managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Guayamba's Carmelo Tabor fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carmelo Tabor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Leonides Enetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariel Hernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. When the match had been going on for 42 minutes, Guayamba's Celestino Gonsalvo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Leonides Enetz. Aristides Dorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonas Merexildo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Jonas Merexildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermin Chap's late challenge caught a deportivo independiente's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fermin Chap helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Guayamba getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fermin Chap hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, deportivo independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Carmelo Tabor came free, but Leonides Enetz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narciso Amor kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Aristides Dorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Aristides Dorio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Enetz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The supporters of deportivo independiente booed when Guayamba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Galoer didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Merexildo got free with Arnaldo Atarrabi in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aristides Dorio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristides Dorio in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Enetz saved deportivo independiente from getting behind. Leonides Enetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Dorio, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Guayamba fully deserved thier win.
