The referee ignored Resistencia FC's protests and gave Mauricio Urtsua a yellow card for diving instead. Mauricio Urtsua kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Vladimiro Mazuste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonatan Geleberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Mazuste in the 11th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Arturo Gomez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonatan Geleberto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Lucio Calvet left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bustamante fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Enzo Benvide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Tome having to interfere. Jonatan Geleberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Mazuste, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Mazuste sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes, Sergio Sabin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Resistencia FC and the Bustamante players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sergio Sabin kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. When Mauricio Urtsua was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. After 40 played minutes Resistencia FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Urtsua. Enzo Benvide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Enzo Benvide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carmelo Tome. Bustamante's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo Benvide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vladimiro Mazuste to strike the kick off in the second half. If Enzo Benvide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Geleberto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Mazuste in the 54th minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Iaki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Resistencia FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bustamante the free kick. After 55 played minutes Resistencia FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Iaki. After 56 played minutes Bustamante got a freekick which was hit by Jairo Hanni. Enzo Benvide's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carmelo Tome read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Jonatan Geleberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Mazuste in the 65th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Bustamante's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enzo Benvide fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Lucio Calvet put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jonatan Geleberto. If Vladimiro Mazuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enzo Benvide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enzo Benvide might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carmelo Tome. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enzo Benvide ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Vladimiro Mazuste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Geleberto was relentless in the 94th minute of the game.
