After a defensive mix-up in Tacuaruzú FC's zone, Godofredo Bernebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Martxel came out of the goal and Godofredo Bernebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 7 minutes of play, Pérez FC's Godofredo Bernebe made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Martxel was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Paolo Maureo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tacuaruzú FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Maureo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fermin Marino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edgard Procopio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Fermin Marino skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fermin Marino made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Rogelio Felo sent off a good shot on target. Fermin Marino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Maureo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Lázaro Donzel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pérez FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lázaro Donzel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Martxel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Godofredo Bernebe sped through Tacuaruzú FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bernardo Martxel. With an all-out effort, Tacuaruzú FC's Fermin Marino threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paolo Maureo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29th match minute, Pérez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Fix to maneuver through the defense. Tacuaruzú FC's Lorenzo Bastian couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pérez FC. Paolo Maureo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Tacuaruzú FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Donzel came free, but Bernardo Martxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39 played minutes Tacuaruzú FC got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Maureo. Bernardo Martxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Donzel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fermin Marino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Maureo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lázaro Donzel was the one to do the kick off. Godofredo Bernebe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Bernardo Martxel made a huge save. Lázaro Donzel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tacuaruzú FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paolo Maureo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paolo Maureo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogelio Felo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Marino having to interfere. Godofredo Bernebe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Martxel having to interfere. Pérez FC's Fermin Marino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogelio Felo in the 96th minute of play. The Pérez FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pérez FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
