Emanuel Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Caton having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Perez in the 16th minute of play forced Social Club's goalkeeper Natalio Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Paulo Fertus fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Social Club's protests and gave Paulo Fertus a yellow card for diving instead. 19 minutes into the match, Social Club's Clemente Beila sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cipriano Txilar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Leonel Roland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Social Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atahona the free kick. Leonel Roland hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Social Club's Clemente Beila ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cipriano Txilar. Cipriano Txilar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Natalio Caton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Shepherd in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Adolfo Shepherd made a precise shot to the right of Natalio Caton. Social Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Bonifacio Gonzo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cipriano Txilar. Atahona's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Atahona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Martin Inko in the 44th minute. Atahona's Martin Inko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Natalio Caton in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Emanuel Perez came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Atahona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuel Perez couldn't finish the play. Atahona's Emanuel Perez got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Perez made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Social Club's zone, Adolfo Shepherd stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natalio Caton came out of the goal and Adolfo Shepherd tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Natalio Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Perez in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Castulo in the 58th minute of play forced Atahona's goalkeeper Cipriano Txilar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Castulo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natalio Caton made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Adolfo Shepherd sent off a good shot on target. When Atahona's Adolfo Shepherd in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Adolfo Shepherd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Natalio Caton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Shepherd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Natalio Caton having to interfere. When Atahona's Emanuel Perez in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Social Club's goalie prevented a goal. 94 minutes into the game, Emanuel Perez lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Natalio Caton. The Social Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atahona were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
