Günther's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Diaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Anier Miro fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capilla's protests and gave Anier Miro a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Capilla:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Günther:s goal. In the 15th minute, Diego Reynardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Günther fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Aquilino Brais had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Constantino Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Diego Reynardo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Faustino Franco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Faustino Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquilino Brais in the 27th minute of the match. Casimiro Peio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Casimiro Oihenarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Enekoitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimiro Oihenarte having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Paulino Diaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Faustino Franco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 48th match minute, Capilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Luar to maneuver through the defense. Faustino Franco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Diaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Günther getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Edgard Bide hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casimiro Peio in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casimiro Oihenarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Santiago during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roberto Santiago hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. If Paulino Diaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casimiro Peio scored 1-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casimiro Oihenarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th play minute Paulino Diaz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Faustino Franco. 1-3. Casimiro Peio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Casimiro Peio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Brais received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Faustino Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Günther booed when Capilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Bartolome didn't get a good kick on the ball. Although Capilla had been in control for most of the match, Günther still came away with the win.
