The audience was convinced that Bruno Eguzki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignacio Lorenz was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 13th match minute, Carrizales FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Quintyn to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Eguzki did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Ignacio Lorenz 39 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentino Asier got free with Ignacio Lorenz in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Florentino Asier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carrizales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Florentino Asier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignacio Lorenz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
