Honorato Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Fernanco in the 8th minute of play. Modesto Fernanco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Honorato Ricart read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Arroyito getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Domingo Eate hit a great ball. Santiago Chinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Pedroso having to interfere. Baldomero Perrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Honorato Ricart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Honorato Ricart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Fernanco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the match, Punua AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Fernanco came free, but Honorato Ricart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonzalo Haritzs short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Francisco Pedroso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 36th minute, Teo Castel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisco Pedroso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 41 minutes into the game, Arroyito's Baldomero Perrando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Honorato Ricart made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Punua AFC's Augusto Sotil got a free kick in the 44th minute. Honorato Ricart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Fernanco in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Santiago Chinto to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Arroyito getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. After 63 minutes, Gilberto Aires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arroyito and the Punua AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Arroyito! The referee gave Punua AFC a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Venancio Aurre, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Arroyito's Francisco Pedroso. 2-2. Gilberto Aires kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Santiago Chinto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Pedroso was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Fernanco in the 74th minute of play forced Punua AFC's goalkeeper Honorato Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
