Silvestre Tono's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvio Faro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. If Silvestre Tono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes, Aureliano Totakoxe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventud Quilmes and the Glew AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aureliano Totakoxe kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Iyan during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Jose Iyan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute Silvestre Tono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Faro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Juventud Quilmes booed when Glew AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Garin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Silvestre Tono's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvio Faro was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Nunez Manny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Faro having to interfere. In the 40thth minute of the game Silvestre Tono who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glew AFC's Silvio Faro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baldomero Lluterio kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Silvestre Tono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventud Quilmes's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvestre Tono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Faro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Baudelio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Nunez Manny could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Silvio Faro however easily saved by the left post. Glew AFC's Silvio Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Totakoxe in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Glew AFC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gustavo Fiz hit a great ball. Nunez Manny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Faro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Glew AFC's Gustavo Fiz got a free kick in the 68th minute. A collision led to Glew AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Gustavo Fiz hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Glew AFC's zone, Nunez Manny stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Faro came out of the goal and Nunez Manny tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
