Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mauricio Barros got the match started through his kick off. Evelio Firme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Urbes in the 3rd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Herminio Tohias came free, but Evelio Firme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Gerardo Peyo hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, Manchester City's Mauricio Barros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aristides Erroman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aristides Erroman made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Genaro Moise sent off a good shot on target. Herminio Tohias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Evelio Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Gerardo Peyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Manchester City players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Manchester City booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Peyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Racing Club's Aristides Erroman got control of the ball when Genaro Moise tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mauricio Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Erroman having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Elias Romelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes, Aaron Oxarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Club and the Manchester City players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, one of Racing Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Racing Club. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Barros in the 46th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Aristides Erroman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Herminio Tohias made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester City's zone, Herminio Tohias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evelio Firme came out of the goal and Herminio Tohias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aristides Erroman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Herminio Tohias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Evelio Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Manchester City's Evelio Isusko got a free kick in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Herminio Tohias got a free kick in the 60th minute. Evelio Isusko might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aristides Erroman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evelio Isusko ran back to his position shaking his head. When Racing Club's Herminio Tohias, in the 72nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. After a rather tough play, Manchester City's Mauricio Iban got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The long shot by Vinicio Gaskon in the 83rd minute really tested Evelio Firme's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Evelio Firme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herminio Tohias in the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Herminio Tohias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herminio Tohias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cleto Luix kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Herminio Tohias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Evelio Firme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvaro Urbes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
