Cristobal Abancens was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 3rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luciano Emeterio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Odon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the game, Quilumpa AFC's Dante Lamberto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luciano Emeterio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Eloy Artal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. With 23 minutes on the clock, Cristobal Abancens commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Quilumpa AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Inocencio Chumo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Benjamin Eduino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Artal having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Gaston Quintyn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 39 played minutes Quilumpa AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Quintyn. If Benjamin Eduino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Dante Lamberto made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Tomas Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Eduino in the 57th minute of play forced Quilumpa AFC's goalkeeper Eloy Artal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eloy Artal made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Tomas Lopez sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Gaston Quintyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quilumpa AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Quintyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Emeterio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Dante Lamberto came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Quilumpa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Lamberto couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Quilumpa AFC booed when Saavedra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Bakar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lamberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute Dante Lamberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Emeterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dante Lamberto came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Quilumpa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dante Lamberto couldn't finish the play. Luciano Emeterio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaston Quintyn in the 85th minute of play. Tomas Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
