The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Prudencio Uxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. Ranquilcó's Cirilo Dodorol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Mikolas in the 6th minute of play. Cirilo Dodorol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Rudolfo in the 8th minute of the match. Chelcos's Benedicto Alfonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Baumar in the 11th minute of play. Cirilo Dodorol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Prudencio Uxio in the 19th minute. Evaristo Rudolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Dodorol having to interfere. Benedicto Alfonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Lalla in the 22nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ranquilcó's zone, Prudencio Uxio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cirilo Dodorol came out of the goal and Prudencio Uxio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anier Lalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedicto Alfonso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Chelcos got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Iraunkor. Ermegildo Firmin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benedicto Alfonso. Chelcos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Prudencio Uxio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anier Lalla made a kick off. Prudencio Uxio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cirilo Dodorol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Rudolfo in the 59th minute of play forced Ranquilcó's goalkeeper Cirilo Dodorol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute, Artemio Urdaspal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 68 minutes into the match, Prudencio Uxio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cirilo Dodorol. Ranquilcó's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Prudencio Uxio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Prudencio Uxio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chelcos's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudencio Uxio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cirilo Dodorol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Prudencio Uxio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cirilo Dodorol having to interfere.
