The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Hernan Crescencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Haritzeder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lisandro Enetz having to interfere. After 18 minutes, Nunez Lehen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavour and the Celeste Rugby Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Aldo Nel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Celeste Rugby Club getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Esteban Lehoi hit a great ball. Aldo Nel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes Cavour got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Firmin. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Nel to make the kick off. Esteban Lehoi's late challenge caught a Cavour's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Lehoi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cavour booed when Celeste Rugby Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Felipo couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Celeste Rugby Club defense, Ermegildo Firmin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristobal Javiero. The Celeste Rugby Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristobal Javiero should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Celeste Rugby Club getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Erubiel Ascencio hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roberto Felipo in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristobal Javiero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Esteban Lehoi was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 78 minutes had been played. In the 83rd minute Aldo Nel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Javiero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Cavour's Domingos Inko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristobal Javiero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After 92 played minutes Celeste Rugby Club got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Sabin. After having played for 94 minutes, Roberto Felipo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavour's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Felipo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Celeste Rugby Club players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cavour.
