The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anibal Lucian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Mede, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. With a little luck, Malargüe AFC's Anibal Lucian got control of the ball when Modesto Gamus tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Cerrillos booed when Malargüe AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Tanio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modesto Gamus got free with Anibal Lucian in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Oroitz during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Flavio Oroitz hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Flavio Oroitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 played minutes, Malargüe AFC's Erubiel Cayo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Celso Galsino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Malargüe AFC reached it. Lisandro Christobal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Galsino having to interfere. Celso Galsino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lisandro Christobal, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. With a little luck, Malargüe AFC's Anibal Lucian got control of the ball when Modesto Gamus tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lisandro Christobal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Galsino having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nemesio Mede stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Malargüe AFC's zone, Nemesio Mede stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anibal Lucian came out of the goal and Nemesio Mede tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the game, Cerrillos's Nemesio Mede nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anibal Lucian made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Modesto Gamus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Anibal Lucian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute of the game, Genaro Ellande landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Flavio Oroitz kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Lisandro Christobal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anibal Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Gamus in the 72nd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Malargüe AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lisandro Christobal. Modesto Gamus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 82nd match minute, Malargüe AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Tanio to maneuver through the defense. Modesto Gamus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anibal Lucian having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Lisandro Christobal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 minutes, Conrado Tauro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cerrillos and the Malargüe AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Malargüe AFC booed when Cerrillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Tauro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute Modesto Gamus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Lucian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cerrillos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Malargüe AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
