Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Juan Ongile made the kick off and thus started the match. Evelio Menendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Cloyo in the 4th minute of play. If Rene Tome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Gartxot hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Leonides Cloyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Menendo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Honorio Leguizamón came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Barraquero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorio Leguizamón couldn't finish the play. Leonides Cloyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Menendo having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Siro Geofredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barraquero's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quiñihuao the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Barraquero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Geofredo to maneuver through the defense. Eustacio Pagomari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Umbruso hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Juan Ongile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barraquero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Ongile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barraquero's Juan Ongile got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Cloyo in the 36th minute of play forced Quiñihuao's goalkeeper Evelio Menendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eustacio Pagomari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Geofredo in the 40th minute of play forced Barraquero's goalkeeper Luis Theodore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvio Geofredo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Luis Theodore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quiñihuao.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvio Geofredo to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Juan Ongile notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quiñihuao's Evelio Menendo. Evelio Menendo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Eustacio Pagomari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quiñihuao's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustacio Pagomari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luis Theodore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barraquero's Luis Theodore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvio Geofredo in the 60th minute of play. Luis Theodore didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eustacio Pagomari went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Leonides Cloyo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Evelio Menendo made a huge save. When Barraquero's Juan Ongile in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Quiñihuao's goalie prevented a goal. Ernesto Hitz kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After having played for 77 minutes, Leonides Cloyo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barraquero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Cloyo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Evelio Menendo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 85th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Pagomari in the 97th minute of play forced Barraquero's goalkeeper Luis Theodore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barraquero walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
