The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Serafino Felipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Dolfos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nereo Montae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute of the match, Julian Iigo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Faustino Marz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nereo Montae in the 43rd minute of play forced Faro's goalkeeper Faustino Marz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Martin Elizardo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Faro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caballeros de la Angustia the free kick. Martin Elizardo hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gervasio Dolfos made a kick off. After 54 minutes of play, Faro's Joel Argina made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serafino Felipo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Serafino Felipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Dolfos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gervasio Dolfos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serafino Felipo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Nereo Montae struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Faustino Marz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caballeros de la Angustia. In the 64th match minute, Faro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddy Urtsua to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Faro defense, Nereo Montae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faustino Marz. The Faro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faustino Marz should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervasio Dolfos in the 72nd minute of play forced Caballeros de la Angustia's goalkeeper Serafino Felipo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inocencio Froylan hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caballeros de la Angustia's goalkeeper Serafino Felipo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Caballeros de la Angustia's zone, Gervasio Dolfos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafino Felipo came out of the goal and Gervasio Dolfos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 85 played minutes Caballeros de la Angustia got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Polentzi. Faustino Marz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Montae, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If Gervasio Dolfos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Caballeros de la Angustia booed when Faro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Nuno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Pabla, 96 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
