Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gervasio Dolfos got the match started through his kick off. Prospero Padro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nicolas Nuno fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Faro's protests and gave Nicolas Nuno a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Clemente Ganix reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Faustino Marz. The goal made the score 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Joel Argina notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Batea AFC's Faustino Ruisko. Faustino Ruisko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 20 minutes, Fulgencio Batista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Faro and the Batea AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Fulgencio Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Martin Elizardo's late challenge caught a Batea AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Elizardo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Faro's Martin Elizardo got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute of the match, Clemente Ganix tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Faustino Marz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Faustino Ruisko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Dolfos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Batea AFC's Faustino Ruisko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Dolfos in the 28th minute of play. If Gervasio Dolfos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Freddy Urtsua fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Faro's protests and gave Freddy Urtsua a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Faro got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Urtsua.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemente Ganix to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Batea AFC were awarded a corner. Segundo Gaspard went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Clemente Ganix managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batea AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Ganix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Faustino Marz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Faustino Marz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Ganix in the 64th minute of the match. When Prospero Padro came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Batea AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Padro couldn't finish the play. Faustino Marz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Padro in the 69th minute of play. When Clemente Ganix came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Batea AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Ganix couldn't finish the play. In the 75th match minute, Batea AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Chumo to maneuver through the defense. Faustino Ruisko was a little too slow when Gervasio Dolfos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 1-3. Faustino Ruisko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Dolfos in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Prospero Padro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Batea AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Padro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Joel Argina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gervasio Dolfos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Faustino Ruisko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Faro eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
