After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Astor Tino made the kick off in the second half. Conrado Gartzea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Roberto Artizar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Gartzea in the 56th minute of play forced Concepción FC's goalkeeper Roberto Artizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Gartzea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Artizar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Gartzea in the 78th minute of the match. Roberto Artizar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melchor Ipar in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cecilio Pepillo got free with Rolando Dacio in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute Astor Tino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Dacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rolando Dacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Astor Tino in the 100th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Concepción FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
