Fabian Eneas kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Dante Loren's late challenge caught a Independiente FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Loren helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Puan AFC's Luciano Su got a free kick in the 27th minute. During the 29th minute of the match Dante Loren completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dante Loren a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 29th match minute, Puan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Loren to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Independiente FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Reynaldo Matteo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gaudencio Odilon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Nicholas in the 39th minute of play. If Ceferino Igon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reynaldo Matteo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Reynaldo Matteo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Blas Bittor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genaro Gaizkine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaudencio Odilon having to interfere. Independiente FC's Blas Bittor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Matteo in the 70th minute of play. If Reynaldo Matteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Independiente FC's Genaro Gaizkine got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Reynaldo Matteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Independiente FC booed when Puan AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Gonsalvo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
