The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jose Heriberto during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th minute, Jose Heriberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Ubaldo Rudolfo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batavia's supporters rose to their feet, but Ubaldo Rudolfo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Domiku breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcelo Domiku took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejo Cordareo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaldo Rudolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marcelo Domiku tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ubaldo Rudolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Domiku made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejo Cordareo in the 22nd minute of play. Ubaldo Rudolfo struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Marcelo Domiku didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batavia. Ubaldo Rudolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Domiku having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Gen&tales was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Santiago Ursino to maneuver through the defense. If Jose Heriberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejo Cordareo in the 45th minute of play forced Gen&tales's goalkeeper Marcelo Domiku to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Santiago Ursino fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gen&tales's protests and gave Santiago Ursino a yellow card for diving instead. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gen&tales's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Romeo Valente was slow to take the kick. During this time Batavia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Batavia's Romeo Valente to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelo Domiku despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alejo Cordareo to strike the kick off in the second half. Ubaldo Rudolfo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Batavia's Ubaldo Rudolfo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Domiku narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Gen&tales's Marcelo Domiku got control of the ball when Ubaldo Rudolfo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Batavia's Alejo Cordareo got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnoldo Fonso kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Marcelo Domiku made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Ubaldo Rudolfo sent off a good shot on target. Edgardo Bembe kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Alejo Cordareo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Batavia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alejo Cordareo couldn't finish the play.
