The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Justino Gartzen came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Cachueta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justino Gartzen couldn't finish the play. Justino Gartzen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 8 minutes into the match, Cachueta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Tibalt came free, but Rigoberto Locaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Florencia AFC booed when Cachueta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Tiadoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Locaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Tibalt, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Rigoberto Locaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Tibalt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After recieving a nice pass, Florencia AFC's Reynaldo Quentin tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Sebastian Tibalt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florencia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Tibalt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Locaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastian Tibalt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Locaio having to interfere. Santos Belo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Locaio having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Sebastian Tibalt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rigoberto Locaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 31 minutes, Santos Belo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florencia AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santos Belo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Justino Gartzen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rigoberto Locaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Santos Belo in the 38th minute of the match. Florencia AFC's Sebastian Tibalt got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Florencia AFC's Pablo Estevez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Florencia AFC from getting a goal against them. Santos Belo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Rigoberto Locaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Sebastian Tibalt struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Rigoberto Locaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florencia AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Belo in the 61st minute of play forced Cachueta FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Locaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Rigoberto Locaio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Santos Belo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Locaio having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Cachueta FC's Ramiro Lehoi got a free kick in the 66th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Cachueta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Belo came free, but Rigoberto Locaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cachueta FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Locaio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Florencia AFC's Pablo Estevez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramiro Lehoi in the 79th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Cachueta FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Locaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastian Tibalt. Santos Belo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Florencia AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cachueta FC throughout the match.
