Osvaldo Gonzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desiderio Romero in the 4th minute of the match. Sergio Ciano kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Cristo Tavio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvaro Ortle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Gonzo having to interfere. Cristo Tavio struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Osvaldo Gonzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matansilla AFC. Cristo Tavio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Osvaldo Gonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Gonzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Tavio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 played minutes Matansilla AFC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Qwinton. If Cristo Tavio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristo Tavio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Osvaldo Gonzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Cristo Tavio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Osvaldo Gonzo. Cristo Tavio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Alvaro Ortle struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Osvaldo Gonzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matansilla AFC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sergio Ciano was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Alvaro Ortle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alvaro Ortle came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Matansilla AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Ortle couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Gonzo came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Matansilla AFC's Cristo Tavio. But to his dismay, Cristo Tavio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Médanos AFC's goalkeeper Osvaldo Gonzo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alvaro Ortle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Matansilla AFC booed when Médanos AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Ciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 3-0 became the score in the 70th minute when Alvaro Ortle elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Abel Qwinton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Gonzo having to interfere. In the 80th minute Cristo Tavio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Gonzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Desiderio Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldo Gonzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristo Tavio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute, Bonifacio Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Matansilla AFC were the better team. Matansilla AFC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
