The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Narciso Abaurre who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Freddy Orlandus when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Octavio Artal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Javier Jaen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddy Orlandus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Erasto in the 16th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Epifanio Erasto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Freddy Orlandus, 2-0. Epifanio Erasto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Narciso Abaurre came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Vásquez FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Abaurre couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Vásquez FC defense, Octavio Artal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anibal Orlondo. The Vásquez FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anibal Orlondo should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Vásquez FC's Epifanio Erasto dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. After 43 played minutes Godoy FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Oliverios. Anibal Orlondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Artal in the 45th minute of the match. Javier Jaen struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Anibal Orlondo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Godoy FC.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Octavio Artal made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Artal in the 52nd minute of play forced Vásquez FC's goalkeeper Anibal Orlondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Godoy FC booed when Vásquez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrosio Azibar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Javier Jaen got free with Anibal Orlondo in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute, Lorenzo Mikelats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Godoy FC's Octavio Artal in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vásquez FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 58th minute Octavio Artal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Orlondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Erasto in the 71st minute of play forced Godoy FC's goalkeeper Freddy Orlandus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Artal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Anibal Orlondo made a huge save. Vásquez FC's Anibal Orlondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Artal in the 83rd minute of play. In the 87th minute, Narciso Abaurre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddy Orlandus was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After 94 minutes, Ruperto Oliverios mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Godoy FC and the Vásquez FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Godoy FC's Ruperto Oliverios got a free kick in the 94th minute. Ruperto Oliverios kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
