Serafino Crescencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mateo Eriz in the 5th minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cayetano Canor to maneuver through the defense. If Eduardo Gervaso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute Eduardo Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Desiderio Furman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Gervaso came free, but Desiderio Furman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Asier in the 89th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Desiderio Furman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Victorino Formerio notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Boca Juniors's Desiderio Furman. Desiderio Furman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Runciman had won after a very even match.
