C.A.Temperley 's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Valentin Benvide showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aureliano Pio in the 18th minute of the match. Francisco Vasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Everardo Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Oliveiro in the 30th minute of play. If Francisco Vasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Vasco struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Everardo Kismi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. River Plate. Apolo Cebo charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apolo Cebo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, C.A.Temperley 's Apolo Cebo got a free kick in the 44th minute. The C.A.Temperley players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C.A. River Plate were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erasmo Oliveiro to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Erasmo Oliveiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Everardo Kismi. Erasmo Oliveiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 57th minute, Natalio Pedroso sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and C.A.Temperley 's Everardo Kismi didn't even have to move. Everardo Kismi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Oliveiro in the 59th minute of play. Hector Horado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Valentin Benvide tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Aureliano Pio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valentin Benvide. C.A. River Plate's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aureliano Pio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. C.A. River Plate's Valentin Benvide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Pio in the 68th minute of play. Francisco Vasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Everardo Kismi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, C.A.Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Apolo Cebo to maneuver through the defense. Valentin Benvide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Pio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 77 played minutes C.A. River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Jorrin. When Claudio Eriz came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the C.A.Temperley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Eriz couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aureliano Pio in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Benvide saved C.A. River Plate from getting behind. If Aureliano Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Pio in the 86th minute of play forced C.A. River Plate's goalkeeper Valentin Benvide to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The C.A.Temperley supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C.A. River Plate's performance. The match ended with a win for C.A. River Plate.
