Evaristo Sandalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Pacifico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonel Rexino kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chascomús's goalkeeper Evaristo Sandalio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Roberto Gauargi kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, La Mecanica's Ermegildo Esquipula tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 38 minutes, Roberto Gauargi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chascomús and the La Mecanica players grew even worse after the yellow card. 38 minutes into the game, one of Chascomús:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 44th minute Leonel Rexino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustino Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Mecanica's Emiliano Ferrer got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Pacifico to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chascomús's goalkeeper Evaristo Sandalio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes into the game, Donato Loi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Mecanica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chascomús the free kick. After 63 minutes of play, La Mecanica's Augusto Pacifico made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evaristo Sandalio was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 played minutes Chascomús got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Kelemen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Pacifico in the 68th minute of play forced Chascomús's goalkeeper Evaristo Sandalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Silverio Pudes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Faustino Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silverio Pudes in the 85th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Silverio Pudes took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Faustino Perez to make any attempt to save it. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Faustino Perez successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The La Mecanica fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chascomús had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
