Sergio Nahia might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodosio Fidencio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergio Nahia ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Trinidad's zone, Benedicto Fagondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodosio Fidencio came out of the goal and Benedicto Fagondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilfredo Urritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Santa Trinidad booed when A day to remember was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauricio Valery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saverio Oihenarte was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 24th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Wilfredo Urritz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Hector Dominix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to A day to remember getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Timoteo Nuñez hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Israel Honesto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, A day to remember's Gustavo Pelayo got a free kick in the 34th minute. Hector Dominix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Israel Honesto in the 37th minute. Hector Dominix was a little too slow when Wilfredo Urritz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-0. Esteban Karmel hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Teodosio Fidencio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedicto Fagondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Urritz to make the kick off. Teodosio Fidencio went to the wrong direction when Timoteo Nuñez was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Teodosio Fidencio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benedicto Fagondo in the 57th minute. Sergio Nahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Fidencio having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergio Nahia in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodosio Fidencio saved Santa Trinidad from getting behind. Hector Dominix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Israel Honesto in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute Wilfredo Urritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hector Dominix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wilfredo Urritz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A day to remember succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Santa Trinidad had controlled the match.
