After having played for 4 minutes, Amadeo Benitez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Benitez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bonpland AFC's zone, Rodolfo Mel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Carlomagno came out of the goal and Rodolfo Mel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the game, Amadeo Benitez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Daniel Carlomagno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 11 played minutes Bonpland AFC got a freekick which was hit by Esteve Belmiro. In the 14th match minute, Bonpland AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteve Belmiro to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Silvio Pello in the 15th minute really tested Daniel Carlomagno's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Bonpland AFC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Esteve Belmiro hit a great ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Rodolfo Mel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bonpland AFC's Daniel Carlomagno was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Independencia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Silvio Pello in the 23rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Silvio Pello got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Daniel Carlomagno quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodolfo Mel in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Carlomagno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amadeo Benitez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the match, Independencia's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Videl came free, but Aquilino Sendoa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arnulfo Steven to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Bonpland AFC's Adrian Atarrabi got a free kick in the 51st minute. Rodolfo Mel's late challenge caught a Bonpland AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Mel helped the player get up and apologised. When Freddy Videl came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Bonpland AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddy Videl couldn't finish the play. Aquilino Sendoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnulfo Steven, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Bonpland AFC were awarded a corner. Laureano Hever went to the cornerflag to take it. If Rodolfo Mel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rodolfo Mel took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Carlomagno. Daniel Carlomagno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 77th of the match, Arnulfo Steven tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Aquilino Sendoa got in the way and made a wonderful save. 83 minutes into the game, Freddy Videl lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Aquilino Sendoa. Rodolfo Mel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Daniel Carlomagno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Bonpland AFC defense, Amadeo Benitez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Carlomagno. The Bonpland AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Carlomagno should have stopped the shot. Freddy Videl succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-2 in the 96th playminute. There was no doubt that Independencia were the better team. Independencia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
