Faustino Quintun took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquilino Sendoa. Aquilino Sendoa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Mel in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Bizi saved Tafí from getting behind. Casimiro Satordi hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Cayetano Sasoin from long distance, 39 minutes into the match, got Aquilino Sendoa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 40 minutes, Luisito Mannuel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independencia and the Tafí players grew even worse after the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Casimiro Mel made the kick off in the second half.
