Abelardo Orlondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ladislao Maiorga made a kick off. If Florentino Gaskon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd match minute, Chañar AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Gasteiz to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Bonadona kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Florentino Gaskon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Atilano Abadia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Luján's zone, Ladislao Maiorga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisito Henrico came out of the goal and Ladislao Maiorga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Abelardo Orlondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ladislao Maiorga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisito Henrico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Faustino Michael got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 86 played minutes Luján got a freekick which was hit by Venancio Castel. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Luján's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eugenio Frasquito was slow to take the kick. During this time Chañar AFC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Luján's goalie and right to Faustino Michael. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Luján's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 94th minute Faustino Michael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Henrico saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Luján players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chañar AFC.
