Gregorio Txurio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Rodriguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. With a little luck, Pavón FC's Geronimo Pere got control of the ball when Erasmo Jaunzuria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Melchor Sansone scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gregorio Txurio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvestre Belasko's late challenge caught a Pavón FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvestre Belasko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Silvestre Belasko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute Pavón FC were awarded a corner. Marcial Seber went to the cornerflag to take it. Erasmo Jaunzuria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Geronimo Pere made a huge save. Camilo Rodriguez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregorio Txurio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Erasmo Jaunzuria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Roque Fero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Gualeguaychú AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Pavón FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Camilo Rodriguez made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Camilo Rodriguez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gregorio Txurio. Camilo Rodriguez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Melchor Sansone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Txurio having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Gualeguaychú AFC got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Belasko. 0-4 became the score in the 78th minute when Camilo Rodriguez elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Erubiel Loramendi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gualeguaychú AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pavón FC the free kick. Erubiel Loramendi kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Camilo Rodriguez might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregorio Txurio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camilo Rodriguez ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pavón FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
