Marcial Xabier's late challenge caught a Sesteadero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcial Xabier helped the player get up and apologised. Lázaro Venerando was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Hermengildo Joey capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hermengildo Joey really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Lázaro Venerando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Xabier in the 15th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Galarza AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Anibal Hunfredo came free, but Esteve Erramu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Galarza AFC's zone, Anibal Hunfredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esteve Erramu came out of the goal and Anibal Hunfredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcial Xabier might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lázaro Venerando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcial Xabier ran back to his position shaking his head. Lázaro Venerando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Urbano Vincent in the 41st minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Anibal Hunfredo made the kick off in the second half. Lázaro Venerando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Xabier in the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Joey cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Lázaro Venerando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 59 minutes into the match, Sesteadero's goal looked a bit too open when Marcial Xabier came free, but Lázaro Venerando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urbano Vincent sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcial Xabier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Lázaro Venerando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Galarza AFC's Urbano Vincent sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lázaro Venerando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Sesteadero's Anibal Hunfredo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Lázaro Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Xabier, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urbano Vincent in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lázaro Venerando saved Sesteadero from getting behind. In the 89th minute Anibal Hunfredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Erramu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
