In the 5th minute, Leon Pietro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Valdés's Jeremias Gaspard got control of the ball when Santiago Orzaize tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luisito Hitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remigio Nayely in the 9th minute of the match. When Iker Asur fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nirihau FC's protests and gave Iker Asur a yellow card for diving instead. In the 11th match minute, Valdés was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobaldo Baudelio to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Valdés's goalkeeper Jeremias Gaspard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Orzaize. When Cornelio Joey came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Valdés fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cornelio Joey couldn't finish the play. Nirihau FC's Ricardo Bertin got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Valdés's goalkeeper Jeremias Gaspard had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Orzaize. After a rather tough play, Nirihau FC's Elpidio Millan got a free kick in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Joey in the 54th minute of play forced Nirihau FC's goalkeeper Luisito Hitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Asur hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute Cornelio Joey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Hitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Santiago Orzaize got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cornelio Joey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Remigio Nayely's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luisito Hitz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Valdés's Jeremias Gaspard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Bertin in the 65th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Candido Tirso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago Orzaize scored 1-0 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremias Gaspard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 76 played minutes Nirihau FC got a freekick which was hit by Iker Asur. In the 77th minute, Nirihau FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Cornelio Joey fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cornelio Joey blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisito Hitz having to make a save. Nirihau FC's Ricardo Bertin got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeremias Gaspard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Bertin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Nirihau FC had won after a very even match.
