Blas Cordera's late challenge caught a Deportivo Granate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Blas Cordera helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lomitas's Blas Cordera got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Mitxel in the 33rd minute of play forced Lomitas's goalkeeper Cristian Toro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silverio Cordario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Cordero in the 35th minute of play. Adrian Barrionuevo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ambrosio Cordero made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lomitas's zone, Antonio Mitxel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Toro came out of the goal and Antonio Mitxel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blas Cordera was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lomitas's goalkeeper Cristian Toro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Toro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Mitxel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lino Abeijon during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 69th minute, Adrian Barrionuevo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute Adrian Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Toro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
