Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aureliano Martxel got the match started through his kick off. After 2 played minutes Varela got a freekick which was hit by Erubiel Procopio. When Flavio Gabrio came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Zapla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Gabrio couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the game, Aureliano Martxel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Saturnino Cristofol. Aureliano Martxel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Saturnino Cristofol was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Aureliano Martxel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Aureliano Martxel really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 20th minute of the match Guillermo Eztebe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saturnino Cristofol skillfully saved the ball. If Eduardo Roland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Ledesma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Gabrio in the 24th minute of the match. Saturnino Cristofol made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Eduardo Roland sent off a good shot on target. Aureliano Martxel might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saturnino Cristofol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliano Martxel ran back to his position shaking his head. Maximino Ledesma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Gabrio in the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Varela's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Gabrio came free, but Maximino Ledesma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Roland got free with Saturnino Cristofol in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavio Gabrio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, Erubiel Procopio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varela and the Zapla players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aureliano Martxel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Cristofol having to interfere. Celedonio Poncio charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celedonio Poncio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Saturnino Cristofol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aureliano Martxel, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Aureliano Martxel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 72 minutes into the match, Erubiel Procopio notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Zapla's Saturnino Cristofol. Saturnino Cristofol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gervasio Nafarroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Maximino Ledesma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varela's goalkeeper Maximino Ledesma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Tomas Beltxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavio Gabrio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Ledesma having to interfere. Varela were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Zapla for a fine match.
