Cirilo Dubardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Selatse struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Arturo Evangelista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercedes. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Bordat in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Crispo saved Mercedes from getting behind. If Gregorio Telo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Gregorio Telo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Crispo. Mercedes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gregorio Telo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Bordat came free, but Iker Crispo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Mercedes's Ruperto Arce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Evangelista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Lucio Bordat fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Iker Crispo, passed just outside the right post. 37 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Bordat came free, but Iker Crispo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucio Bordat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Crispo having to interfere. Iker Crispo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Bordat in the 41st minute of play. Gregorio Telo in the 42ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iker Crispo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gilberto Selatse might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Evangelista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilberto Selatse ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Ruperto Arce made the kick off in the second half. Mercedes's Iker Crispo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucio Bordat in the 53rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Lucio Bordat sped through Mercedes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iker Crispo. Gregorio Telo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Iker Crispo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucio Bordat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Crispo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After 85 played minutes Mercedes got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Cordairo. If Lucio Bordat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucio Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Silverio Herensuge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucio Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
