In the 19th minute Roberto Lluterio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Gerazan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornelio Tono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Lauaxeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Alejo Ospin fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pintos FC's protests and gave Alejo Ospin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Cepeda FC booed when Pintos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejo Ospin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Lluterio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cepeda FC's Edgardo Gerazan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Lluterio in the 52nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Roberto Lluterio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Gerazan was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Pintos FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
