Carrera FC's Ladislao Rafe shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 12th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cornelio Virila but with some difficulty. After 18 minutes of play, Guasayán's Alfonso Suarez made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Cilio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Florencio Ortzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Cilio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Suarez in the 23rd minute of play forced Carrera FC's goalkeeper Tobias Cilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Guasayán's Cornelio Virila got control of the ball when Ignacio Frances tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Florencio Ortzi came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Guasayán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florencio Ortzi couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Carrera FC's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Ortzi came free, but Tobias Cilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Armando Baladi fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guasayán's protests and gave Armando Baladi a yellow card for diving instead. 36 minutes into the game, one of Guasayán:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ladislao Pinto shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Cornelio Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Bertran, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Alfonso Suarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Cilio having to interfere. When Guasayán's Florencio Ortzi in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carrera FC's goalie prevented a goal. Tobias Cilio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Suarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Florencio Ortzi made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Guasayán booed when Carrera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Rafe didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Ortzi in the 57th minute of play forced Carrera FC's goalkeeper Tobias Cilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 played minutes Carrera FC got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Gutxi. If Florencio Ortzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. Cornelio Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Bertran in the 78th minute of play. The Guasayán supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Guasayán would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
