Jesus Nofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Saladillo's Jesus Nofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Paez in the 6th minute of play. Jesus Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javier Paez in the 10th minute of play. Jesus Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Abastas, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Javier Paez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Javier Paez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Javier Paez scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesus Nofre, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Javier Paez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jesus Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Paez, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Saladillo's Jesus Nofre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Paez in the 29th minute of play. When Justino Gaizkine fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saladillo's protests and gave Justino Gaizkine a yellow card for diving instead. Javier Paez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Haroldo Dalmu might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jesus Nofre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haroldo Dalmu ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, Saladillo's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Paez came free, but Jesus Nofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Nofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Abastas in the 46th minute of play. After the first half SAN LORENZO DE ALMAGRO were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Justino Gaizkine to make the kick off. Haroldo Dalmu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jesus Nofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anastasio Abarca kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After 56 played minutes Saladillo got a freekick which was hit by Justino Gaizkine. After 57 minutes, Javier Paez made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Saladillo's Jesus Nofre tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jesus Nofre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Paez in the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Marco Abastas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jesus Nofre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jesus Nofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Javier Paez, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. SAN LORENZO DE ALMAGRO's Marco Abastas got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Abastas struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jesus Nofre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN LORENZO DE ALMAGRO. Justino Gaizkine kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Marco Abastas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Jesus Nofre made a huge save. SAN LORENZO DE ALMAGRO's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
