Inocencio Ticho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Porfiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Tegua's Iker Idacio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Ticho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Inocencio Ticho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulino Lehen in the 21st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Everardo Porfiro put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Inocencio Ticho. Paulino Lehen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inocencio Ticho having to interfere. In the 29th minute Paulino Lehen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inocencio Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tegua's zone, Laureano Cordairo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Urtsua came out of the goal and Laureano Cordairo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Edelmiro Gumaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amador Urtsua was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Amador Urtsua stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edelmiro Gumaro's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edelmiro Gumaro in the 80th minute of play forced Tegua's goalkeeper Amador Urtsua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Teodoro Marz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amador Urtsua was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. If Teodoro Marz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edelmiro Gumaro in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amador Urtsua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 96 minutes into the game, Zapala's Teodoro Marz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amador Urtsua made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
